Work On Chesapeake Bay in Virginia - Hospitalist - Permanent Placement

A smaller sized hospital in eastern Virginia is seeking a full time Hospitalist or Internal Medicine physician to join their team. The hospital offers a wide range of services including orthopedics, urology, general surgery, ophthalmology, non-invasive cardiology, psychiatry, and gynecology. The ER is staffed 24/7 by boarded physicians well trained in Emergency Medicine. There is a well trained nursing and support staff on duty at all times.

You will be joining 3 other hospitalist's already on staff. Call is 24 hours, is taken from home, and averages every 4th day. The average number of admissions per 24 hour call shift is 3.5 per 24 hours. Average census of patients per physician is 6-8 but does vary with the seasons slightly.

Compensation is very competitive and includes a production bonus. Benefits include paid malpractice, licensure fees, CME allowance, health, dental, life and LTD insurance, 403 B retirement plan with 3% employer match. There 25 days off and long scheduled weekends, plus one week of CME per year as well.
