Perm Orthopedic Surgeon Job Opportunity in Virginia

A well equipped medium sized acute care hospital located in the mountains of southwestern Virginia is seeking a fulltime Orthopedic Surgeon to join the staff. The facility is a debt free, not-for-profit, community, stand alone hospital, which is governed by a local board of directors. The hospital is only hospital within 40 miles of this region. The facility has two operating rooms, one endoscopy and one bronchoscopy room. The surgical team averages 2500 cases per year. The hospital has two full time general surgeons. The surgical team Is well acquainted in general orthopedics and joint replacement. The orthopedic equipment is Stryker and Syntheses. The hospital has recently upgraded to a 64 slice CT Scanner with PACS. We also have mobile MRI here three days per week. The surgical suites have recently been equipped with LED lighting, to enhance visibility of the surgical team and reduce shadowing.

The community is somewhat rural; a quiet, safe place to live and rear children. The region has excellent public and private schools, as well as many colleges and universities nearby, including Virginia Tech, University of Kentucky and University of Tennessee.
