CRNA Staffing

The process of finding a good CRNA job can be a difficult one, even though this is a highly sought-after field. Many CRNAs read through medical journals and periodicals or search the Internet to find job listings for private and public facilities. Unfortunately, by the time the ad is found and a resume is sent, many positions are already filled. Also, it can take months to go through the job search process repeatedly until a face-to-face interview happens.

Use Physician Staffing Firms to Find CRNA Jobs

Hospitals, clinics, private practices and VAs use physician staffing firms to recruit new staff. The firms have all of the details for various CRNA positions located in their areas of operation. Some agencies, like Onyx M.D., have access to CRNA job openings throughout the United States.

When the CRNA contacts the physician recruitment firm, it is like jumping into a pool full of job opportunities. The CRNA sends in a curriculum vita and may undergo an interview so the recruiter knows exactly what the nurse anesthetist wants to find in a job. The recruiter matches the job requirements of the hiring organization with the skills of the job applicant and informs both parties of the possible match. The headhunter arranges for an initial interview for the CRNA with interested medical facilities.

If the physician staffing firm does not know of any immediate openings, it adds the nurse anesthetist to a database of job candidates. When the firm is contacted by medical facilities, it goes to the list in the database first.
