Local Onyx M.D. Scores Colorado Hospital Association’s “Gold Seal of Approval”

Denver, CO – July 8, 2009 -- The Colorado Hospital Association's Shared Services Division selected Onyx M.D., headquartered in Denver, as their new exclusive physician staffing company.  Not only does this decision keep more jobs in the Colorado economy, it helps provide staffing relief to the Colorado health care community during a nationwide acute physician shortage. 

  “We inspected close to a dozen national placement firms,” explains Michael Scott, V.P. of Shared Services for the Colorado Hospital Association, “but only one received CHA’s gold seal of approval, and that is Onyx M.D.  We based our decision on who we feel best serves Colorado hospitals.  Onyx M.D. is run by a physician for physicians, they staff nationally, and they are headquartered in Denver.  We focused primarily on the service they provide, but we like that they are local.  Our membership can rest assured that they look primarily to the best interests of the patients, their doctors, and the institutions where they practice.”   Not only is this a strong strategic move, but it keeps more jobs in the local Colorado region.
