Onyx M.D. Donating Profits to 12 Local Children’s Charities with Launch of New Employee-Directed Outreach Program S.C.O.P.E

 

A Local Charity is Chosen Each Month by Employees to Receive a Monetary Donation on Behalf of Onyx M.D.  

DENVER, CO--(February 6, 2013) -  U.S. Physician staffing firm, Onyx M.D., launches S.C.O.P.E., an employee-directed outreach program that supports local charities and promotes community involvement.   The program is set to give out a total of 12 monetary donations to 12 different local children’s charities this year. Onyx M.D. employees have an opportunity to submit a charity of their liking for consideration. At the end of each month, the executive team will determine the chosen charity.

S.C.O.P.E., an acronym that stands for “Service, Community, Outreach, Purpose, Excellence,” embraces the company’s strong culture by allowing employees to have input on their community efforts. CEO, Robert Moghim, M.D., states, "Our culture at Onyx M.D. is powerful because of our employees and their commitment to a principled approach to service. We wanted to extend our company culture and build an outreach program to help make a difference in the community.”

In addition to the 12 children’s charities that will receive a monetary donation, S.C.O.P.E. will also help support various foundations through “in-kind” donation drives.  The employees of Onyx M.D. are encouraged to share ideas on how the company can help support their favorite charity.  Each and every request will be reviewed by the leadership team to decide on the best way to help support the cause.  “We are excited about the S.C.O.P.E. program because a strong community is the foundation for a stronger future,” says Moghim.

The S.C.O.P.E. program has already initiated donation efforts for the month of January.  It was a unanimous decision to donate to The Sandy Hook Memorial Fund.  The Onyx M.D. leadership team decided to take a portion of the proceeds from 26 physician placements in honor of the 26 victims who lost their lives.  The facilities and physicians involved in these placements were also notified that their recent assignments helped support these families.
